Medici con l’Africa by Carlo Mazzacurati
There is a reason why you leave for Africa and often you remain in Africa; everybody has his own deep reason. Carlo Mazzacurati researches these different reasons interviewing doctors, students, and common people.
The documentary present the work of CUAMM, between Italy and Africa, with a sober reportage shot in Africa, giving a voice to doctors and patients, adult and children. Many doctors recount about their experiences, their enthusiasm and their failures. We also meet some young students from Mozambique who have been trained in the faculty of Medicine supported by CUAMM in Beira.
“My idea was to tell a world that I didn’t know, while I was discovering it, in real time. The film is the story of a group of people who are engaged in bringing health to Africa and about their special way of doing it”.
