Ethiopia: a country torn by humanitarian and food crises

A letter from Doctors with Africa CUAMM was recently published in The Lancet. A public health appeal calling for policies that can bring about better outcomes for mothers and children, it aimed to focus attention on the issue of maternal mortality in Tanzania, a country where – paradoxically – an excess of rural delivery sites lowers the quality of the health care services provided.
