Doctors with Africa CUAMM’s Annual Meeting has always been a very special occasion for our organization. It gives us the opportunity to meet with friends, partners and supporters to review the goals we have achieved and the lessons we have learned, as well as to discuss future initiatives.

After traveling around Italy for the past five years to present our wide-ranging program, “Mothers and children first” – a commitment we first undertook in 2011 in partnership with four sub-Saharan African countries: Angola, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Uganda – we will return to Padua to present the outcome of our activities.

We’ll talk about what drives us and our work, and the difficulties and successes we encounter while carrying it out. Most importantly, we’ll discuss the challenges lying ahead of an organization known as “Doctors with Africa”, renewing our commitment to the mission Pope Francis asked us to continue during a special papal audience last May: to ensure access to care for the most vulnerable, especially mothers and children.

We are honored to be joined during this important event by two very distinguished guests: Italian President Sergio Mattarella and the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin.

For those traveling by car there is an ample parking lot at the Gran Teatro Geox.
For those traveling by train, shuttle buses will depart from the nearby bus station for the Gran Teatro Geox from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. (a 20 minute ride). Return shuttle buses will be available at the end of the event.
